Dates are one of the sweetest fruits and are tasty on their own. If you’re headed to a social event where you sign up to bring something, a great dessert to bring are these ‘Dressed up Dates’. When we start talking about a whole-food diet, here is a great example of balance, where you can indulge but it’s a ‘better of the bad choice’.
Grab fresh dates, not dried, and make sure to tell people that they’re stuffed, and it’s not the pit inside.
12 Medjool dates
24 Whole Salted & Roasted Almonds
1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
Sea Salt to garnish
Orange to zest
Start by pitting each date and replacing with 2 whole almonds. Warm the oil in a skillet over medium and toss the stuffed dates in. Shake the pan to coat the dates in the warm oil. Garnish with sprinkles of salt and zest. They’re so tasty served warm! 🙂
